Faded is a handmade twenty-page artist book, a medium commonly used to creatively engage in the concept of a book and its form. Each page was written using a typewriter and then bound with a simple Japanese book-binding technique. Typewriters are a permanent method of writing and leave behind traces of its mechanics, such as marks from the red ribbon along the sheet edges and black fingerprints on the paper after fixing the ribbon. This work emphasises mental illness through the words and the book's physical form.
