Elixirs of a Clouded Mind analyses the stifling and heightening of emotions experienced when taking medication for mood disorders through the lack of colour in the photographs juxtaposed with the detailed gestural brushstrokes creating broken masks of colour. The use of photography combined with painting investigates the relationship between the psychological and the physical vessel. The choice of using analogue photography over digital reflects that no two minds are alike, making each photograph a one of a kind.
